house λ is located in Lechouni area, in dense olive fields away from crowds. It leans to a natural stone rock and has a hiking path with a stream springing from Evangelistria Monastery and leading to almost a private beach.
Once a shelter for olive pickers, house λ was rebuilt adding an extra volume and transformed into a modern holiday house. It‘s white-painted walls are decorated with horizontal dashes called sardeloto, a reference to a sardine, which is a unique touch of Sporades architecture. Split over two levels, the house has a fully equipped kitchen with a built-in BBQ outdoors, a dining area with a fireplace, a living room, a bathroom and a terrace on the first floor. Two bedrooms with a bathroom and a laundry room are located on the ground floor. house λ captures the beauty of simplicity and represents the balance between modern architecture and adaptation of the local history and heritage.
