Architecture

Olive Press 1816 is a sweet Maniot house, settled in a peaceful village. The house itself together with its tall stone walls form a courtyard that assures privacy. Indoors, materials like wood and steel have been used, while tiles in the living-dining area were cut out of old marble pieces. The house is 163 m2 in size and is split over 2 levels. 1 double and 1 single bedroom are located on the top level while 1 more double bedroom is located on the ground level, all with en-suite bathrooms.

Design

The house is built in L shape and its sunny courtyard is the heart of the house. Indoors, yellow ochre flows throughout the rooms and metal constructions represent the modern architectural solutions. The bedheads have metal decorations, too. The house captures the elegance and character of Maniot houses yet has a very modern, fully equipped kitchen. Finally, its small swimming pool serves as a refreshing spring during a hot summer day.
