Architecture
moonhouse is a cozy town house, located over the harbor of Skiathos. As most houses in town, moonhouse is small, only 48m2 yet has as much of the outdoor spaces. One part of the house has 2 floors where each floor holds 1 bedroom, therefore can accommodate 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The other part consists of a kitchenette with a low ceiling and 1 bathroom on the same floor with a flat terrace over them instead of a roof. The views from the terrace open to the harbor of Skiathos.
Design
The house’s name was given after a round window in the kitchen’s ceiling. Above it, there is a terrace where you can walk over the round window (it is in its floor). The window fills the kitchen with light during the daytime. Massive stones in the wall and ladder-style stairs with trap door were left original. The covered pergola outdoors on the terrace invites to enjoy the views. White color and turquoise shades dominate over the house.
